Welcome to Tourism Treasure Hunting in Manitoba —
21st Century Style
All that is required is a sense of fun and adventure, a GPS unit, and some family or friends willing to hike or bike or drive to the coordinates where the "treasure" can be discovered. Geocaching is a great family adventure, especially when younger members who are familiar with technology need an adult with a vehicle and driver’s license.
The Manitoba Regional Tourism Network (MRTN) — Tourism North, Parkland Tourism, Interlake Tourism, Central Plains Tourism Network, Eastern Manitoba Tourism, CDEM bilingual communities and the Aboriginal Tourism Association of Manitoba — with assistance from the Tourism Secretariat of Manitoba Culture, Heritage, Tourism and Sport and the GO Team from MAFRI, have collected coordinates for new and existing caching adventures of interest to those visiting rural Manitoba.
The caches and waypoints listed in this online guide are not intended to be extreme adventures or difficult to find. Rather, they are places of natural beauty, history, or locations of interest to visitors.
Enjoy your searches and your discoveries!
