Asessippi Ski Area and Winter Park, nestled deep in the Shell River Valley near Inglis, offers 25 runs for downhill skiing and snowboarding, with half-pipe and two terrain parks. There are three chair lifts, one quad, two triple lifts, three surface tows and one snow carpet. The winter park offers three downhill snowtubing runs (ride up and slide down — no effort required!). With its charming winter village, the resort was the recipient of the Best New Attraction 2000 by Attractions Canada.

Directions:
Birch Ski Area is located near Roseisle, MB approximately 27km west of Carman, Manitoba. From the corner of PR240 & PR245 head 1 mile west along PR245 until you reach a blue sigh marked "BIRCH SKI AREA" and turn right (southbound) onto Road 40W. Then continue straight for another 2 1/4 miles until you come to an intersection that has a white shed and turn right (westbound) onto Road 32N. Continue straight. Once you're up the big hill stay to your left and you will find yourself in the Birch Ski Area parking area.

Located on the border of Manitoba and Saskatchewan, the Flin Flon Ski Club has 27 kilometres (17 miles) of trails ranging in difficulty from beginner to challenging. Trails include the Race Loop, Carlisle Loop, Boundary Trail and Valley Loop. The annual ski season varies depending on conditions, but is usually from late November until mid-March.

The Valley Loop (2.3 km / 1.5 miles) is lighted until 10:00 pm nightly (provided conditions are suitable for skiing).
