In the 1920s, Winnipeg Beach was the "Coney Island of the North." Its Pavilion Dancehall and 300-foot roller coaster made Winnipeg Beach a favorite playground for Winnipeggers. The tradition continues today with entertainment for visitors and residents of the "Beach" at the Bandstand. Assorted free outdoor entertainment is offered every Saturday evening from late June to early September. Bring your lawn chairs, sit back, relax and enjoy or order a meal at one of the sidewalk cafes opposite to the stage and watch from there.
